Welcome to RAPPS & RVP!
My years of experience in both the academic areas of the program, as a faculty member, and in virtually all of the aspects of the program as an assistant principal and, now, principal underscores my credentials and qualifications to effectively lead The Rapides Alternative Center as its current educational leader. Serving as principal of both the Rapides Alternative Positive Program for Student and the Rapides Virtual Program meant more to me than a promotion. It has been an opportunity to play a more important role in expanding the excellence and influence of an institution that has provided the foundation, impetus, and inspiration for a productive and meaningful life for so many.
As principal, I have been engaged, extensively, with a diverse and energetic student-
population, a bright and vibrant staff, and passionate and dedicated stakeholders. I
appreciate their commitment and loyalty to our program and students, and I share their hopes and vision for the programs to expand their impact on the educational, cultural, social, and economic vitality of this community and region in the years ahead. Our strategic planning in recent years has focused on becoming the best alternative
educational provider in the state. By working together with the community, that plan is swiftly becoming our reality.
I will continue to work and maintain a campus-culture of innovation, collaboration, and growth under the compelling vision of student-success. Everything that we do must reflect our core values: that students are our priority; innovation and freedom drive transformative-thinking; stewardship and integrity are non-negotiable; and collaboration is critical!
I believe that my unique combination of skills, leadership experience, educational background, commitment to teamwork, and unwavering dedication to my students have prepared me to serve in this capacity, and our students have been the beneficiaries.
